Hello.  I’m Sara, and I am about many things.  More specifically, I am all about baking, decorating, and devouring — and I hope that this blog will become a place where you find wonderful things to bake, decorate and devour as well.  I plan to post bi-weekly, which mean that I’ll most likely be posting weekly (it is good to have goals).  I embrace feedback of any kind — constructive, adulatory, querying; so please feel free to comment on the blog or e-mail me at tigerbuttersara at gmail dot com.

About me, even more specifically (should you want to know) — I live in Seattle, WA, and am in the process of completing my certificate in the Baking and Pastry Arts at a local community college.  I love it (love it love it!), and hope to one day become a Pastry Chef and perhaps also maybe a food writer, if I should ever get the chance.  I also currently work as a producer of loaf breads, croissants, and breakfast pastries at a cafe/bakery.  Additional things to know about me — I think about pumpkin pie often, I overuse and abuse parenthetical remarks (but it’s really how I think!), I love Sci-Fi, and I despise and fear raisins, perhaps more than anything in the world.

Oh, and lastly, why tigerbutter?  Tigerbutter, because it is delicious — peanut butter and chocolate?  YES.  Tigerbutter because the tiger is the national emblem of half of my heritage, and butter is the familial trademark of the other half.  Tigerbutter because I become akin to a ferocious tiger when feasting on things baked with butter.  And finally, tigerbutter because I love both tigers and butter, though one is certainly more delicious than the other.
